This is just a post on a quick quote really, but it struck a chord with me.

As leaders we need to setting an example that is ‘do as i say and do as i do.’ Some leaders know what to do but have alignment problems and that creates an inconsistency pattern that makes it hard for people to follow.

So how’s your alignment going? How connected is your heart,head, mouth and feet? and how are they collectively lining up with the word? When you trust the word and the total you is moving forward through the gears towards what God has asked you to do, it builds trust and if i have learnt anything, i know people want to follow leaders they trust,because it provides safety.

Some people simply never give up. They hold a persistence that allows them to climb over walls and limitations to touch their dreams. The bible has something to say about staying in the ring.

OK, so we finally got the blog onto a site where i can post myself! In the past i would flick my posts onto our tech genius and he would handle it for me, so this will be a much better way to go. Some people have asked about my new book Blue milk and when it is being released. We were rushing to try to meet the deadline when my editor moved countries, my formatter went through a major trial and i though lets just let it sit for awhile and i will finish it later.

The up side to that is it has given me more time to reread the manuscript and polish it a little more, or as Dave Wakerley would put it move it from Gold to Platinum.

Being ‘good’ with kids is a gift, but to polish that gift and truly understand it is an art.

There is an art to being the type of kids leader who can reach down and inspire and encourage little hearts week after week. There is an art to working with the little that you have and seeing mass multiplication, and there is an art to growing a spectacular team that exudes heaven. One of the things our kids hate in life is anything they believe is boring.

Creative kids churches are places that are more colourful, more alive more fun and more exciting. My next few posts will be excerpts and training ideas from the new book BLUE MILK. All the proceeds go directly to rescuing children in India. Hope you like the book, more than that I hope you grow as a creative leader.
